The dream choice Blue wedding dress

It takes lots of planning and hard work to bring everything together to create a perfect wedding day. One of the most important considerations is likely to be the color of your wedding dress. Some people believe that getting married in a blue wedding dress means a good luck, as it goes along with the old saying, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue." Do you think about Blue wedding dress? While most people believe that a traditional white wedding dress is the only color that should be worn there are many other perfectly acceptable colors. For instance a blue wedding dress is far more traditional than a white one.

The blue wedding dress dates back to medieval times when blue was considered to be the color of purity. White wedding dresses did not become popular until the time of Queen Victoria who was married in a white gown, this took tradition in a completely new direction and white has been worn ever since her wedding.

More recently many women have been turning to colors once again when choosing their wedding dresses. Blue wedding dress becomes a new trend. And more and more brides chose blue wedding dress. Because not everyone wants to stick with a plain and somewhat drab white wedding dress when blue, green, red and even black wedding dresses look so much more elegant. Many brides prefer to match the color of their wedding gown to the season instead of sticking with a stale tradition.
Of course that is not to say that you cannot wear a white wedding gown if your dream has always been to walk down the aisle all dressed in a pure white gown. You can create a color scheme for your entire wedding party based around the color of your wedding gown by putting your bridesmaids in dresses of either the same color or one the complements it. Blue is still considered by many to be the color of purity, but the most important thing to remember is that you only get married once so the color of your dress should be yours to choose and not worn simply because of a not so old tradition.

In a word, this kind of blue wedding dresses (black wedding dresses)can not only make you more charming, but give a special feeling to the others as well.

Blue wedding dress is a dream choice for some brides, and you can't go wrong with Something Blue!

Pre-Wedding Stress Management

Weddings are notorious for the stress they place on brides and grooms. The fact that you're considering a proxy marriage doesn't change most of these concerns. In fact, it may make some even worse. Everything in life is a balancing game, and a proxy marriage vs a physical marriage is no different. Learning to deal with stress is vital for the success of your wedding and your marriage. Because make no mistake, the stress you feel now is just the start.

In order to begin managing your stress, you need to get a handle on four tasks: 1. Recognize and understand the signs of stress; 2. Identify and understand the source of stress; 3. Learn to manage sources of stress you can control; and 4. Learn to support yourself and cope with your reactions to stressors beyond your control.

Know the Signs of Stress

Reactions to stress vary from person to person and may produce a variety of symptoms. These include stomach aches, headaches, trouble sleeping, impaired concentration, moodiness, irritability, and racing thoughts. Knowing when these are a result of stress is vital to the start of proper management.

Sources of Stress

While you're considering a proxy marriage, you are facing a huge number of imposing decisions, expenses, expectations, and new roles. You may feel that your wedding should be the happiest time of your life, and feel that any feelings of discomfort diminish that. But the truth is that stress comes in good times and bad. But if you don't learn to take control, stress will turn more and more of your good times into bad.

Some sources of stress are unavoidable. Marriage usually means change, and change is often stressful. You have family members, friends, and (now) in-laws to consider. While your wedding is for you, don't fool yourself into thinking that others won't feel vested.

Other sources of stress can be controlled. Remember, you don't have to accept every invitation you receive. People may want to see you and be a part of your event, but if you don't take care of yourself no one wins.

Taking Control of Stress

The internet is full of ideas on how to control stress. A quick Google search will turn up more suggestions that this article could ever cover. But here are a few that seem to work well in marriage situations:

Talk to your partner: make sure that your wedding is shaping up to be the event you both imagine. A grand wedding may be great in the movies, but reality is a whole different ball game. Don't be afraid to be honest, it's vital to the long-term success of your life together.

Delegate: even in a proxy marriage, there's often a lot to do. Don't be afraid to ask for help. In fact, don't be afraid to order people around. You're getting married after all. If you can't be the boss then, when can you? Be cautious about going too far in this direction, stories of bride-zillas are wide spread.

Accept your limits. Even the best control freaks have to accept that they have limits. At some point, it is important to know where those are, and maybe even move the yard stick back a bit. If you try to do too much, you run the risk of making things worse instead of better.

Time management tricks and strategies are always a useful tool to battle stress, whether arising from a wedding or life.

Taking Care of Yourself

One of the most important things you can do before your proxy marriage is to take care of yourself. This will help with stress, but it will also help with life. Remember to get enough sleep, exercise regularly, eat normally, avoid excess sugar, caffeine, nicotine alcohol, or drugs. You may want to consider meditation. While many of us imagine an overly flexible man sitting on the ground chanting, there are variations of meditation, such as mindfulness-meditation that are more practical and very effective.

One more thing, find time for fun. Whether you are headed toward a physical marriage ceremony or a proxy marriage, this is supposed to make you happy. Take the time to remember that and do the things that make all the stress worthwhile. It will help keep things in perspective, and help keep you sane.

Spa Bridal Shower Ideas

The bridal shower is an event with all the ladies on your guest list, usually held 2 - 4 months before the wedding. The most traditional type of bridal shower is serving lunch, playing a few games and open gifts in settings such as a restaurant, banquet facility, country club or perhaps right in your home. Brides are now looking for unique and different ideas to move away from the norm. Some are considering a wine tasting tour, "breakfast with the bride", an afternoon tea party, or perhaps a river cruise. One of the hottest trends we are now seeing is the Spa Bridal Shower.

What woman doesn't deserve a day at the spa? Some go on a regular basis while others only treat themselves on rare occasions. How cool would it be for your lady guests to open up a spa-theme invitation asking to come and get pampered with bride?

After arriving dressed casually and comfortably, the day could start off with a yoga routine, and then be followed by a deep cleaning mask, a neck message and finish with a manicure and pedicure. The ideas are up to you to choose! You can provide mineral water, flavoured water, fruit shakes, a healthy lunch - preferably finger foods, as it would be more comfortable for mixing and mingling. Definitely provide a little treat or cake for dessert (gotta have a little bit of calories) with sliced fresh fruit.

You could rent out a spa salon for the day, but I would bet that most salons would accommodate you on a day they are closed or after regular business hours. If the rental of the facility is out of your budget, then look into doing it right in your home! Many companies offer a variety of in-home spa services. Decor would be very minimal, just a few floral arrangements, scented candles and of course, relaxing music.

The gift to your guests could be a "spa goody bag" with items such as massage oils, hand creams, scented candles or bath salts. The gifts from the guests may also include a theme - they can purchase gift certificates, beauty products, lingerie, or any personalized items for the bride. Perhaps you already have all the toasters you need!

Due to costs, a spa day wedding shower may not be designed for a large group, but is a great idea for a small number of women. Call around and get a few different quotes to compare services.

Every woman loves to be pampered in such a relaxed and casual atmosphere. It adds to the enjoyment when you all have something to celebrate! It certainly is a unique idea that your guests will definitely talk about. Being treated like a princess all day - sounds like fun to me!

Strategies in Booking Your Honeymoon Travel

No, it's not true. Booking honeymoon and travel is not as easy as it may seem to be. A lot of things must be considered first. And unless you're a billionaire, honeymooning in a tight budget can always be a stressful one.

However some strategies here are proved to be effective and when you get to do it right the first time, you might already contemplate on doing it the second time.

Ask someone to organize your honeymoon and travel for you. He will be the one to assist you with everything needed for the travel. It's also his responsibility to arrange all the information about the place you're spending the honeymoon in. This will help ease out all the tension of lacking knowledge about the place you're going to spend your honeymoon. If you can't afford to hire one, there are free travel agencies which are willing to supply all the needed information without a cost.

Get all the payment details of the resorts, plane tickets and hotel reservations in advance. Make sure that all the details you've gathered are up-to-date since rates changes from time to time. If you get this information in advance, you'll save yourself from unexpected bills you haven't prepared for.

Save enough money for the honeymoon and travel and make sure to stick to the budget. Honeymooning won't be as fun when you're drowning yourself in debt just for luxury. Always remember that honeymoon is meant to enjoy each other's company after the very stressful yet memorable wedding event. This is the beginning of your new life together as a couple and it must not be ruined by unwise spending.

Check out the peak dates of travelling. During this season, rates are unreasonably high. If you don't mean to spend too much on your honeymoon, it is advisable to plan the honeymoon date on off-peak seasons. Not only you will be able to save a lot of money, you will also be able to enjoy the place without too many crowds. And always remember that different destinations have different peak seasons.

For saving purposes, it's also better to check out some honeymoon packages the destination of your choice provides. Some packages come with great hotel suites and free meals available. Plus, many places offer varieties of experience during the honeymoon that will make the travel more exciting and fun.

And now that you're ready for booking your honeymoon and travel fun, I'm sure that you'll likely plan your next travel together even before you finished honeymooning.

Should You Do Your Own Wedding Music or Hire a DJ?

Your wedding day is a major event in your life. Organising it can be fun and daunting at the same time. Until now you've probably been obsessing over gowns and suits, making sure that the cake will be outstanding, booking the limousine, celebrant and venue, selecting the most delightful floral arrangements, selecting rings, organizing the catering and pondering over seating plans. It's only natural that these things are of high importance on your list of things to do because you want your wedding day to run smoothly and be perfect!

But have you given much thought to the music? Wedding music can make a huge difference to whether you and your guests remember this event as gorgeous, or as 'ok, but too bad about the music'. Unfortunately organizing the music is often left to last. Most couples either overlook it or figure that this is a thing that they can do themselves to save money. Thinking like this can really devastate your enjoyment of this momentous occasion on the day and impact on the total atmosphere of the event.

Just imagine...the guests arrive at the reception venue and there is no music because you're still out getting photos done, the sound system hasn't been set up or your delegate has been distracted. Are they entering just a room of empty noise? Has a musical backdrop been created against the void of conversational pauses? Is the volume correct? No doubt you won't want people complaining that it is either too loud, or inaudible. No, this just won't do. Why should you be stressing about the music when you should be luxuriating in the radiance of your nuptials?

That's where live entertainment comes to the fore. A DJ or a Band, or a combination, will know exactly what music is needed at precisely the right moment. And if anything needs tweaking, it can be handled immediately without you having to worry. When the speeches begin, the DJ will discontinue the music to allow the MC to conduct the formalities. Alternatively special fun songs can be played as the Groom, Parents or special guests come up to speak. How great it would be to have the Rocky theme played as the Groom traverses the room! And then the Austin Powers theme is used for the Best man. And you will probably want a special song as you cut the cake to enhance this beautiful moment. A disc jockey can have this on hand and playing at precisely the right moment. So too as you then move to the dance floor for your Bridal Waltz.

Now it's time to party, to celebrate, and you will want your guests to share in this celebration too. So it's time for dancing. If you compile and use your own music, your selections may not be the most conducive for this. For instance, you might love the latest Rap singles, but do your guests? You need to remember that there will be age differences to cater for, so a wide selection of music genre is recommended. Grandma and Grandpa might appreciate an occasional tune from their era, especially if they can sing along too!

And are your 'favourites' even suitable for dancing? A professional DJ can help you by playing the best music mix designed specifically for dancing. This range of music will include all your requests, family favourites, party songs, great dance songs & romantic moments. So ensure that your wedding music is organized early and thoughtfully.

Don't leave it to chance or try to scrimp on money by doing it yourself. This may cost your memories of the event dearly. Make sure you hire live entertainment professionals to oversee this important aspect of your wedding, so that your wedding is remembered for all the right reasons. In fact, you may even discover that the outlay for hiring a D.J. is one of the cheapest things of the entire event!

Preserving Your Wedding Gown, or Not?

The biggest day of your life is over but the memories will last a lifetime. Your wedding dress was worn with such beauty and grace and now it's time to put it away. Many brides contemplate whether they should preserve their dress, give it away, save it for their daughter or sell it in the want ads. Every girl dreams of her wedding dress and what she will look like in her dress. Once the wedding is over you don't even want to take off your dress at the end of the night. Feeling like a princess for the day is one you will never forget.

This is a touchy subject for some. Right after the wedding most women want to keep the wedding dress as beautiful as the first day they wore it. Unfortunately, as time goes by, its importance may start to decrease. Will you every pull it out to show anyone or just to look at it yourself? Will you forget where it even is?

There are many different options available to you. Here is a little of ideas that may be perfect for you.

If you want to pass the dress down to your daughter you must be prepared to accept the fact that she may not want to wear it. Styles and trends change so often that your dress may not be your daughter's choice, plus depending on her figure it may not even fit. Your daughter may feel compelled to wear it so if you don't want her to feel bad, then don't offer the suggestion. She mostly likes knows that your dress is available and if she really wants to see it she will tell you!

What about selling it? The cost of wedding dresses can be astronomical so why not get a little money back? You can send it to a consignment shop or place an ad in your local paper. There are even bridal shops online or places like eBay or Amazon that sell used dresses.

Have you ever thought of turning your dress into a Christening or First Communion dress? Especially having your first-born daughter wear it...what a great way to pass it on. And of course, she will be too small to tell you that "the wedding dress is not in style, mommy."

What about this new trend of "trashing" your dress? Jumping into the pool, playing on the beach, rolling around in mud or dirt... It would not be my first choice, but it is certainly becoming popular, and imagine the fun and conversations that will accompany the pictures. Seems really hard to spend a few thousand dollars on a dress and then rolling round in the mud, yikes!

Have you considered giving back? A great idea is to donate your dress to a charitable organization such as the Breast Cancer Foundation or Brides Across America. Just knowing that YOU put a smile on someone's face by helping out a less fortunate person can be more satisfaction than you'd imagine.

If none of these ideas work for you and you are a traditionalist, then have your dress cleaned immediately after the wedding, get it professionally preserved and place it in a box. Who knows, one day you may need to open that box.

Making Your Day Special With Wedding Reception Games

If there's a time besides high school when awkwardness and uncertainty prevails, it's at the time of a wedding reception. Sometimes your guests wouldn't want to dance or aren't just comfortable enough with each other. Wedding reception games, being popular all over the globe, are a fantastic way to break the ice between your wedding guests and keep them busy throughout the party. They'll aid to make your wedding one of a kind, something hard to forget for a long while.

A fun and interactive game to get everyone involved would be "Bride or Groom?" The women would form one team and the men, the other team-or alternatively, the bride's guests would be on one side and the groom's guests on the other. "Who" questions like 'Who will do the dishes?' or 'Who will win every argument?' are then asked. Make a point to be modest, picking questions which do not embarrass the newly married couple in front of elderly people, children or co-workers. Alternatively, couples inclusive of the wedding couple can take part in "Mr. And Mrs. Quiz", in which couples are going to jot down their answers on a chalkboard to questions asked by the emcee. The couple with the same answer gets a point, and the couple with the greatest score wins!

Another adorable game is "Feed Me, Feed Me" which demonstrates the teamwork between the newly married couple. The bride is made to sit on a chair while the groom is blindfolded and handed a snack or fruit, such as a banana. The guests then spin him a few times until he's disoriented. Then, the groom must feed his bride the banana, relying solely on instructions given to him by her. After it's done, switch the positions! Be careful not to give food items that could possibly ruin the bride's makeup or her dress. You don't want a disaster!

For the secondary sponsors of your wedding, here's a naughty little game. It is a lot like musical chairs-in fact, it is called Human Musical Chairs-and involves the men being the musical chairs while women dance around them until the music plays, and when it stops each woman must sit down on one of the men. The woman who hasn't found a partner is disqualified and the winning ladies are then carried like a bride by the man they're sitting on...quite a treat!

As you can see, incorporating games into your wedding means you'll be inviting peals of laughter to your function. Of course, be careful about which games you pick and how you execute them-some games may be appropriate for one setting but boisterous for another. Consult the hosts and hostesses before introducing any game or activity into your event. Though, in general, you'll seal the night with more happy and lively faces than otherwise, so the game is on!
